1. How did each of you get started in your careers as authors and speakers?
Elizabeth: My journey started with a desire to help others navigate life’s challenges and embrace their best selves. Writing and speaking became ways to amplify that mission and reach people on a deeper level. The journey has been incredible, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to connect with readers and listeners.
Dr. Katie: I’ve always been drawn to the transformative power of storytelling. As a psychologist, I saw firsthand how sharing stories could help people heal and grow. Becoming an author and speaker allowed me to bring these insights to a wider audience, sharing practical tools for navigating life’s ups and downs.
2. What inspired you to collaborate on Percolate: Let Your Best Self Filter Through?
Elizabeth: I wanted to create a book that blended inspiration and actionable steps, and Katie’s expertise was the perfect complement to my vision. The Percolate Process™ was born from our shared passion for helping people grow. Celebrating its 10th year, I’m thrilled to see the impact it’s had on readers around the world.
Dr. Katie: Elizabeth and I share a belief in the importance of personal growth and practical psychology. Collaborating on Percolate was a natural fit, allowing us to create a roadmap for change that’s both accessible and transformative. The experience of working together has been a true joy.
3. Can you explain the Percolate Process™ in your own words?
Elizabeth: The Percolate Process™ is about brewing your best self through intentional actions and consistent effort. It’s a nine-point plan that helps people focus on small changes that lead to significant growth. It’s fun, practical, and deeply empowering.
Dr. Katie: It’s a framework for reflection and action, encouraging people to pause, consider their goals, and take meaningful steps forward. Each point builds on the next, creating a clear path to living more authentically and fully.
4. Both of you have written impactful books—how do they complement each other?
Elizabeth: My books, The Change Guidebook and The Success Guidebook, offer tools for navigating transformation and achieving success. Each book focuses on empowering readers to take charge of their lives and create positive change. Collaborating with Katie on Percolate brought an added depth to this mission.
Dr. Katie: Uplifting focuses on stories of loss and growth, offering inspiration for finding strength in challenging times. My work complements Elizabeth’s by diving into the emotional aspects of change. Together, our books create a comprehensive toolkit for personal development.

10. How do you define success?
Elizabeth: Success is about living in alignment with your values and making a positive impact on the world. It’s not about perfection but about progress and authenticity.
Dr. Katie: Success is finding joy in the journey and staying true to yourself. It’s about growth, connection, and contributing to something greater than yourself.
11. What is one piece of advice you’d give to someone facing a major life change?
Elizabeth: Take it one step at a time and trust in your ability to adapt and grow. Change can be overwhelming, but it’s also an opportunity to discover your strength.

12. How do you stay grounded while balancing multiple projects?
Elizabeth: I focus on gratitude and make time for self-care. Staying connected to my purpose keeps me grounded, even in the busiest moments.
