RIDES AT SOULCYCLE CHICAGO RAISED FUNDS FOR THE MAPLE COUNSELING CENTER
NBC “Chicago Med” actress Mekia Cox is rode for a cause on Saturday, March 11, to raise funds benefiting The Maple Counseling Center (TMCC). The Center is a non-profit organization offering low cost comprehensive mental health services to people of all ages; individuals, couples & families, residing throughout Los Angeles County. A training Center for graduate students in mental health professions, TMCC turns no one away due inability to pay. Services are also offered at local schools and in partnership with community organizations. In an effort to bring awareness to mental health illnesses Cox will join her fellow cast and crew of the hit Dick Wolf drama in the Chicago Loop Soul Cycle location for a 45-minute class. Cox wants to use her platform to bring awareness to an important issue close to her heart in order to spark conversation and breakdown stereotypes.

Cyclists participated in a 45-minute, high energy workout that revolutionized the cycling world March 11th at 1 pm at SoulCycle Chicago. Cox is no stranger to television, she is often recognized for her earlier roles on “90210,” “One Tree Hill”, “CSI:NY” to name a few. She has also guest starred in award-winning television series such as “Modern Family”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Gotham”, “Key & Peele”, “Almost Human”, “Leverage”, “Common Law”, “Necessary Roughness” and “The Mentalist”. Additionally, she has taken her talents to the big screen where she appeared alongside Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling in the romantic comedy “Crazy, Stupid, Love” as well as “Battlefield America”.
